This is the first of a new post series. Each Friday, I’ll share some of my favorite things of the past week and my reading plans for the weekend!
What I’m loving this week:
Knitting — Just like reading, sometimes I get into a creative rut, so I love when I’m able to pick up my knitting needles or crochet hook and create something. This week, I finished a baby blanket, which I’ll be gifting to one of my old friends from high school. Her baby shower is this weekend, and I’m really excited I was able to get it done in time!
On a Sunbeam by Tillie Walden (review to come) — I’m officially on the Tillie Walden hype train (as if I wasn’t already)! A full review is to come, but wow. The way Walden brings together art and writing in her storytelling is incredible. This was such a beautiful sapphic story of love and loss and working in space.
Books Unbound Podcast — I’m officially all caught up on the Books Unbound episodes! I love Ariel and Raeleen’s casual banter and nature, and ever episode has be adding to my TBR shelf! Although since I’m caught up, I’m in search of a new bookish podcast to binge, comment below with any suggestions!
Why I’m #AllBooked this Weekend:
I’m starting off this series with an exciting weekend! I’m visiting a friend that lives out of state this weekend, and I’m hoping during the drive to finish up the audiobook of Imaginary Friend by Stephen Chbosky. Although I don’t typically read much horror (or anything scary), this book really intrigued me, so I wanted to give it a go during spooky season. So far, it is proving to be amazing! While I am gone on my weekend trip, my parents will be painting my room for me (thank you Mom & Dad!), so my room is currently empty. When I return on Sunday evening, I’ll be assisting with putting together my new desk, desk chair, and bookshelves! In the downtime, I’m hoping to pick up Talking to Strangers by Malcolm Gladwell and Get a Life, Chloe Brown by Talia Hibbert. I’ve been anticipating both of these books for a while, and both look to be pretty quick reads. As you can see, my weekend is #allbooked with some fun travel plans and a diverse TBR stack!
